Premier Division


Harwich & Parkeston took advantage of Newbury Forest being away in the cup to create a lead at the top of the table, with a 7-1 win at White Notely, and Lawford Lads closed the gap with a 3-0 victory at University of Essex.  Hatfield Peverel did the minimum to beat Hedinghams United 1-0, but West Bergholt are string results together and a 4-1 win at Wormingford Wanderers moves them a little bit closer towards the chasing pack.  Holland FC lifted themselves out of the bottom two with a 2-1 win over Alresford Colne Rangers, and Rowhedge had a 3-2 win over Dedham Old Boys.


First Division


Maldon St Marys remain top after their 2-0 win over Foxash Social, but Haverhill Sports Association remain tucked in behind after their 2-1 win at Colne Engaine & Bell United.  Tiptree Jobserve dropped valuable points as they drew 2-2 with St Osyth, but Boxted Lodgers lifted themselves with a 3-0 victory at Gosfield United.  Earls Colne had a 1-0 win over Kirby Athletic, and Barnston AFC travelled to Rayne and had a 5-1 victory.  At the bottom of the table Bradfield Rovers remain bolted to the bottom of the table after their 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Coggeshall Town.


Reserve Premier Division


Gas Recreation Reserves stayed top, after squeezing past Coggeshall Town Reserves 1-0, whilst chasing Alresford Cole Rangers Reserves crushed Holland FC Reserves 9-0.  West Bergholt Reserves saw off Earls Colne Reserves 6-0, and Little Oakley Reserves destroyed Tiptree Jobserve Reserves 9-1.  Dedham Old Boys Reserves and University of Essex Reserves drew 0-0. 


Reserve Division One


Harwich & Parkeston Reserves had a 6-0 win over Lawford Lads Reserves, to maintain a six point lead over Barnston AFC Reserves who beat Boxted Lodgers Reserves 4-1.  White Notley Reserves defeated Kirby Athletic Reserves 2-0, and Foxash Social Reserves pulled away from the bottom two with a 3-0 victory over Bradfield Rovers Reserves.


Essex Premier Knockout Cup


Gas Recreation climbed over Little Oakley 4-0, to move into the next round of the cup, where they will be joined by Newbury Forest who were at 1-1 after ninety minutes with Canning Town, but asserted themselves in extra time to win the tie 4-2.


Reserves Knockout Cup


Great Bentley Reserves marched into the semi finals of the cup with a convincing 5-1 victory of Colne Engaine & Bell United.

It has been reported to the Management committee that teams have been failing to rope off the pitch in Premier Division matches, and not provide drinks to opposition and officials.  This is a breach of the rules and will be dealt with if reported by either a match official, league official or the opposition.


Attention is drawn to page 99, Appendix One of the rule book.  Any club in breach of these rules will be charged appropriately.


All clubs are also reminded that referees, officials and visiting teams should be treated with respect as per the FA guidelines.  Failure to do so could result in clubs being charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

Text your match result to the league. 

Within 30 minutes of the end of the game you must give your result to the Press Secretary, so why not use a text, easier, no answer phone and you phone will back up when the result was submitted.  Use 07984 988954
